Why have we developed this product?

Protein is an essential macronutrient as a fundamental building block in the body. It’s also needed by children for healthy bone development and growth¹. Fibre is also a vital component of any diet, however this is frequently overlooked when it comes to children’s products.

Here at Myprotein, we’ve created something special with our Little Beasts Hot Chocolate. Typical hot chocolate mixes are highly processed and full of sugar and additives. Not only is our product lower in sugar and higher in protein than your typical supermarket alternatives, it will also contribute to the growth and development of your child!²

We’ve used a blend of slow-release protein from milk to keep kids content through the night – cutting down on the want for late-night snacking.

How will my child benefit from this product?

With 8.1g of protein, 66 kcal, 4.3 of sugar and only 0.8g of fat per serving, Little Beasts Hot Chocolate contains 39% fewer calories and 70% less sugar than your everyday supermarket alterative.

In addition to this, we know the importance of micronutrients in children’s diets, so we’ve fortified this mix with vitamins and minerals to support healthy growth and development², cognitive development³, the normal function of the immune system⁴ and the maintenance of normal teeth⁵.

Our Hot Chocolate mix contains natural flavourings and is an excellent source of dietary fibre, providing 4g per 20g serving. Your kids will love the flavour of this sweet, chocolatey bedtime drink.

Suggested use

Children over 3 years can consume one Little Beasts Hot Chocolate as a snack before bedtime or at any other time of day.

Little Beasts Hot Chocolate can be made in two ways. The quickest method is to add 20g of the mix to 150-200ml of water in a Myprotein shaker, blend, pour into a microwavable mug and microwave on full power for 60 seconds. Alternatively, you can add 20g of the mix to a microwavable mug and mix to a paste with 30ml cold water, this can then be topped up with another 120-170ml of hot water. Please check the temperature before serving to children.

We’ve got two great ways for you to enjoy your delicious hot chocolate…

1. Mix 1 scoop (20g) in a blender/shaker with 150ml-200ml cold water and then microwave for 60 seconds. Leave to stand for 1-2 minutes then enjoy.
2. Mix 1 scoop (20g) with 30ml of cold water and mix well. Top with boiling water and leave to stand for 1-2 minutes – enjoy!

Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. This product is intended to be used alongside an active lifestyle and a balanced diet. Suitable for vegetarians.
