1. Carbohydrates contribute to the recovery of normal muscle function (contraction) after highly intensive and/or long-lasting physical exercise leading to muscle fatigue and the depletion of glycogen stores in skeletal muscle. This beneficial effect is obtained with the consumption of carbohydrates, from all sources, at a total intake of 4g per kg body weight, at doses, within the first 4 hours, and no later than 6 hours, following highly intensive and/or long-lasting physical exercise leading to muscle fatigue and the depletion of glycogen stores in skeletal muscle.
2. Vitamin B6 and B12 contribute to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue.

As good as any other brand
I have tried most brands of gel on the market. These are as good as any others but are better value, in respect of cost.

Best gels around
Was offing about buying these as there seems to be a love/hate relationship with gels. Currently training for a half marathon so took my first one the other evening whilst out on a run (12.5k) took it around 7.5k/8k and noticed a difference within around 10 minutes. I had a slight stitch but not sure if this was to do with the gel, or different meal prior to training rather than my standard meal. In terms of taste and texture, picture fruit juice without water and jelly blocks before boiling or haribo texture. The taste isn’t the worse thing in the world and to be honest when you’re out running, it’s refreshing to have something sweet to consume. I’d highly recommend getting these for any sort of endurance sports or events.

light taste and works perfectly
I used competitor products and found them to be too sweet. These are not so sweet but do have a good taste. They put energy back into my system in a reasonably quick time as i use them on my cycle rides as I hit low sugar regular and these help manage that. And reasonably priced.

Perfect boost mid run
I had tried alot of gels over the course of a few weeks and felt I was spending alot of money. Picked a box of these up at a great price and they are as effective, if not better than some of the other big brands. I usually use these 6 or 7km into a 10km run and it's like I've only just started the run when I get to about 8 or 9km. Shame about the 1 flavour selection but you taste it for all of 3 seconds.

Never in stock!
I love these! Get me through long runs and long weight training sessions (2+ hours) in my hybrid training but every time I run out they are always out of stock / sold out! They are the best tasting on the market and by far the cheapest. Not able to add to wish list either for email notifications about restocking which worries me about discontinuation

Great Value for Money
These were a great deal price wise, and the cheapest gels I have found in this kind of quantity. The taste was strange at first, but actually quite like it now. It's slightly salty, but then this is needed to replenish the electrolytes/salt lost through exercise. I have used High 5 gels also, but these are cheaper, and work very well to fuel my long runs.
