Great whey alternative
4So yeah, the mixability in a conventional shaker sucks but if you use protein in smoothies or in oats its absolutely fine. If you want to use it in shakes go and see Jeff Bezos and buy a shaker with a vortex in it - takes less than 2 minutes to get it mixed up. Taste wise, I can only comment on the chocolate as (despite the listing saying they do multiple flavours) my protein have informed me they are only making the chocolate now. Its reasonably chocolate-y and does have a bit of a weird aftertaste but it's not horrendous. Some other reviewers have mentioned a beefy tasty which leaves me wondering where they buy their beef because this certainly doesn't taste like any beef I've ever had! Effectiveness, hard to say. A lot of study are showing that whey/casein is still the superior protein but for those of us with dairy allergies/lactose intolerant, this is still a far more effective protein than going down the pea/soya route. My protein, please start stocking some other flavours and bag sizes! Goes Well With:Oats, vortex shakers, blender, almond milk

Too much thickening agent
1First off it’s not the easiest protein powder to mix. The smell of the thickening agent and tastes of the thickening agent is over powering. The chocolate taste is very weak. There so much that it doesn’t have a nice texture to drink (very slimy) I’ve tried adding cocoa powder and vanilla extract and I still didn’t like it. I will be throwing away the rest of the pack after a few days of use because it feels like they released it without trying the product themselves.

DO NOT BUY
1Awful. Worst protein I’ve ever had. I usually take whey but decided to try beef. I made it up, put it in the fridge and half an hour later it looked like cat food. No mixture with the water whatsoever. Awful product. Goes Well With:Nothing.

Doesn’t mix with water
1I’ve never had a protein powder that can’t mix with water. This stuff just seems to clump and go super sticky. Really disappointed after buying a large amount. Hard to say how effective it is yet.

Great if mixed in a blender with peanut butter
5I wasn't sure about buying this after reading the reviews, however a number of reviews recommended mixing in a blender. So that's what I did. 25g of beef protein, thats about 1/2 to 3/4 the measuring spoon that comes in the bag. If you level it you may be making it too rich. Then depending on how much you like peanut butter and how many extra calories you want to add, 10-25g of peanut butter. Make it with milk if you want a creamy chocolate and peanut butter milk shake. Or make it with water if you want to cut some calories or don't want the bloating from milk. Either way I think it's delicious. There's no after taste that I can detect. Maybe the peanut butter masks it. But to me I'm drinking a nice smooth peanut butter and chocolate milk shake with absolutely no lumps. I wouldn't even bother trying to mix it with a hand shaker. Bad mixing and terrible taste
1I’m a big user of my protein shakes and mostly they’re pretty good but this one is genuinely horrible. It doesn’t mix well at all and I struggle drinking a whole shake without my gag reflex kicking in. Might be the worst protein I’ve ever tasted.

It's okay
5It's perfect, doesn't taste as bad as they say, it may smell a little bit but nothing out of this world. I blend with a couple of spoons of oat flakes to avoid frothing 👌Goes Well With:I add oats and avoid the froth

Tastes about as good as it mixes
1I really wanted to like this as the whey alternative doesn't sit well with me and the vegan ones don't have as much protein. Unfortunately it doesn't mix well at all and leaves a vile aftertaste in my mouth. I regret this purchase completelyGoes Well With:No tastebuds
