My worst nightmare
1I fell sick with the new variant of COVID-19. With my sense of taste and smell gone, my appetite diminished. Blending fruits and veggies is the only way I can sustain myself. I bought the vegan protein to keep my protein levels up and it was the biggest mistake ever made. It’s been two weeks now and my tastebuds are still gone with no sign of return. One smoothie containing this monstrosity and I could immediately taste the chalky texture, it’s inability to blend properly. I can usually sense the sweetness of the pineapple in my shake, but this stripped away all notes of taste and felt like a glass of sand and water. I’m yet to experience the true taste of it but I am sure it’s just as bad as it’s chalky texture. I was hoping this would be the game changer for me since I cannot eat or train or taste or smell or breathe. This may be the very thing to send me over the edge. Pray for me!!! Goes Well With:The bin!

Best textured powder yet!
5I hate weird textures and I hate the chalky effect afterwards of other powders I've tried. I've not found one that I can drink! I tried the unflavoured version of this Pea Protein and it's brilliant. It's not thick and gloopy and it mixes really well so no blobs of powder after a quick whizz in the blender. It doesn't taste great but I've not bought it to be a nice drink so it was expected. But it is easily drinkable. The flavour isn't strong (especially if you add the higher water amount) and I've put it in soup too and the flavour didn't come through at all so it's easily hidden or added to foods to give extra protein. Love it.

Healthiest option, but taste definitely has to improve
3Works well and is the healthiest option, gluten, lactose and soy free, but taste definitely has to improve...

Pea protein
1Its taste is absolutely deplorable, beyond bad, to the point where very few of the people who have tried mine can even stomach it. It doesnt mix very well so it feels like you're drinking lumpy mud. But that said, its still protein so it works for muscle growth. After mixing it with a lot of different concoctions, I've found hazelnut milk makes it most bearable. I would only recommend this over milk based whey protein and clear whey protein if you want to feel like you're on I'm a celebrity every morning.Goes Well With:Hazelnut milk

Honest review of strawberry and chocolate
5The only thing I really wanted to write about was that strawberry creates quite a lot of froth when shaking, whereas chocolate does not. This is important to me because I find protein shakes in general taste bad, people say they like the taste (and they might!) but I think when people say they like the taste what they mean is "for a protein shake flavour, I like it ". Chocolate also when shaken gives you a thicker consistency when compared with strawberry using the same volume of water. I don't mind it, personal preference I guess. Personally, I prefer chocolate. This is because I really hate the froth created when shaking strawberry, I don't gag to often these days as over the last 4/5 years I'm pretty used to drinking protein shakes but the froth tends to make me gag a little. I don't fancy waiting 5-10 minutes for it to turn back into liquid, and then, of course, it's wasted when you rinse your shaker after. With regards to digestibility, I'm not an expert but I believe compared with the whey ones I used to drink these digest better. Could be wrong, I only say this based off the fact when I'd go to the toilet you'd know you've had a whey shake (sorry for the detail, but I don't mean in a bad way, it's just different) Whereas since I have started having these pea isolate shakes I find that I don't even notice any changes when using the toilet, no bloating either (although I did not experience bloating with whey) Goes Well With:I mixed 1 scoop of the chocolate shake with one small scoop (4g approx) of berry creatine and that made a nice combination.

Awful Protein Powder
1Looks like my review wasn't published. This protein powder has a worse texture than cardboard and the smoothness of braille. It is honestly a chore to drink and I wouldn't recommend to anyone. There is an awful taste and texture and I tried to mix with water and a variety of milks , both shaken and blended. I would look elsewhere for a protein supplement. Goes Well With:The Bin.

No good
1Tastes like nobody ever tried it. No sugar or any flavour to mask the taste of the raw product which is awful. Tried putting sweetener and extra, nice milkshake flavouring and it was still foul taste.Goes Well With:A sick bucket
