I am battling with this product every day, I wanted something else other than just whey to break things up, this was such a bad choice... unless you are strict vegan please don’t buy this product I have 2.5kg I’m working through and every time I use I’m hating life... it’s powdery, has an earthy taste mixes very very thick... I just can’t find a good use for it.

I don’t agree with the reviews about it tasting bad, it just tastes unflavoured...which is exactly what it is! And I like the texture of it too. I added a few drops of banana flavdrops and honestly I really enjoy it. I suffer with IBS so this is a better alternative to whey. I’ll be trying hemp protein next though as pea protein isn’t a ‘full’ protein

I wish I had read the reviews before purchasing because this really does taste awful. I wanted a vegan protein and thought the taste wouldn't be too bad and perhaps just bland, but it is disgusting. My first attempt was with water. I feel you need to add a lot more water than suggested otherwise it's extremely thick (I used one scoop). I threw up after one mouthful. You're left with an aftertaste in your mouth and this doesn't go for a while. Second attempt I tried in a smoothie.. banana and strawberry with coconut milk. It was slightly better but again the taste was still overpowering.. almost threw up. I tried again with banana, agave syrup, and coconut milk and it was slightly better than the previous smoothie but I couldn't get past halfway as again I almost threw up. I have read the reviews and suggestions to add to soup or with peanut butter. I will give that a go and perhaps half the serving suggestion. If that doesn't work then it may just have to go in the bin :(

Honestly if you’ve ever wondered what it’s like to be a worm wriggling through soil and dirt all day then I recommend drinking this product. Tastes like soil. Would not recommend. Absolutely horrible. Need to use 14 tubes of toothpaste to get rid of the taste. That is all.

I'm used to the whey protein from Myprotein and wanted to try the vegan option to reduce carbon impact. I have tried the pea protein unflavoured: the pea taste is still very strong. I have tried mixing it with soup: it mixes well but you end up with a pea flavoured soup, whatever you want to mix it with. I have tried milkshake (banana, vegetable milk and flavour drops), it still taste like pea. I have also tried the "vegan blend" chocolate flavour: the pea taste is still too strong and is putting me off. I really hope to find a good vegan option for protein shake but right now I can't see how to use the pea protein.

Great protein source for vegan / vegetarian keto. Not the smoothest protein, it remains quite grainy when mixed and tastes awful by itself. Mixes easily with no lumps. Best used mixed into other foods like pancakes, smoothies or granola.

Strong flavoured foods to disguises the taste

This product is your best choice, if you happen to be a vegetarian who are worried about allergy or digestion problems, trying hard to lose some weight and make yourself a better shape in the miserable mid-age life...

Not a complete protein source but great value

You need to add a bit of something else (e.g. some of the Brown rice) protein to get a complete array of aminos for recovery, but you can't deny this does a job and price is always economical. Mixing wise use double the water you would use for whey protein (don't mix with milk). My strategy for flavour is mix unflavoured with some diluting squash - works a charm.

Tried this for first time and have to say it mixes very well.. not grainy and tastes very mild, great protein base which you can add other flavours to. I had stomach issues with standard whey isolate but this is much better.
