1st purchase
5Really impressed at moment. Only used a couple of times but tastes much better and mixes much easier than competition. Only three stars for effectiveness as not used for long enough yet. Have increased my exercise regime for health reasons so don't want to put any weight on. Have to control saturated fat intake too, so use water to mix it and still tastes good.

Better with milk
5Much nicer when mixed with Milk and not water. Goes thicker like a milkshake. But really easy to mix and drink and fills me up nicely!Goes Well With:Milk not water

Easy to drink any time of the day
4Goes down easy tastes good and i have gains so all good decent price Goes Well With:Any fruits or oats i like to put a bit of milk and water with it and a few ice cubes to chill it

Good product
5I've seen better tasting and better mixability stuff on the market, but this one is just pure mixed protein with minimal added other stuff for taste and sweetness. One with water just after waking, one during the day, one after workout (and some BCAA) and one before bedtime with milk. It does a fantastic job as universal, all purpose protein. I got what I expected. Highly recommended!Goes Well With:Water, Milk

Review of Total Protein
5Been using Total Protein now for over 4 years now. I was after a protein shake with various types of protein sources (slow, medium and fast digestion rates). This was the best one I’ve used on the market. The flavour is great (have tried all flavours) and mixability with water is lump free (milk needs little more of shake than water). If you’re after a meal substitute with various protein digestive rates than this is the supplement you are after. Goes Well With:Anything really.

Good stuff
5One thing to note before I give my thoughts is that contrary to another review here, the differences in nutritional values between the flavours is negligible. All 3 flavours curently available (Strawberry Creme, Smooth Chocolate and Vanilla) are within 2 calories of the unflavoured specs on the website for a 30g serving, infact strangely all 3 flavours are 1 or 2 calories below the unflavoured! They're also all within 0.2g fat and within 1g carbs (the vanilla higher at ~2.5g, the others around 1.5g) but worth noting that both chocolate and vanilla both have "only" 24g of protein, so 1g less than the unflavoured and strawberry. Anyway, this was my first foray into protein powder shakes having previously relied on pre-mixed bottles from the supermarket. Having tried all three flavours currently available via sample packs, here's my thoughts on their flavour etc. All were mixed with straight water and chilled which I find gives a nice milky texture and is perfectly drinkable. They might taste even better with milk but using water is more convenient for me as well as being cheaper when you drink a couple of shakes per day, so I'm happy to find this powder doesn't need milk in order for it to be palateable. Strawberry Creme - Tastes pretty good although a little too sweet for my preference, would be nice if MyProtien offered a regular strawberry flavour to complement this one with less sweetener and a slightly sharper fruity taste. Smooth Chocolate - I normally prefer strawberry to chocolate milk drinks but I think this one is just about my favourite. Not too sweet and a nice mild milk chocolately taste. Vanilla - There's a hint of vanilla ice-cream to the shake but it doesn't smell great and overall has a rather weird taste, not for me. All 3 mixed really well, the texture can be a tiny bit gritty/powdery if drunk straight away but I find if you mix and then chill for a few hours or overnight it's as smooth as any regular milk drink. Goes Well With:A heaped teaspoon of the strawberry in a 150g tub of plain greek yogurt Also ice lollies made with the regular milkshake mix worked pretty well although might be better with milk for a creamier texture.
